Data Collection

Zen Guard does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All your settings, rules, and blocking configurations are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect:

- Browsing history or visited URLs
- Personal information
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Any data whatsoever

Local Storage Only

All data is stored locally on your device. When you export your configuration, the data is saved to a file on your computer. When you import a configuration, the data is read from your local file. No servers are involved.

Permissions

Zen Guard requires certain browser permissions to function:

- webNavigation: To detect when you navigate to a page and check if it should be blocked
- storage: To save your settings and rules locally
- scripting: To read page content for keyword-based blocking rules
- sidePanel: To display the management interface

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality and are never used to collect or transmit data.

This software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. In no event shall the authors be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page. However, our commitment to not collecting data will not change.
